which

them

there
are

beaches
in
Tenerife
that
have
this
environmental
distinction
and,
within
the
list
that
we
present
below,
there
are
some
such
as
Camisón
or
Duque
that
have
this
quality
distinction.
1.
El
Medano
Beach
El
Médano
beach
is
one
of
the
best
known
in
Tenerife.
It
is
ideal
for
practice
water
sports
such
as
surfing,
windsurfing
or
kitesurfing,
thanks
to
the
weather
conditions
of
the
area,
although
it
also
attracts
people
who
want
to
spend
a
quiet
day
at
the
beach,
despite
being
so
renowned
for
the
wind
that
is
normally
present.
In
addition,
it
has
a
perfect
promenade
to
enjoy
the
coast
and
a
wide
variety
of
establishments
to
enjoy
a
delicious
meal
near
the
sea,
from
local
restaurants
to
brunch
to
places
with
international
food
like
Mexican
or
Lebanese.
2.
Abama
Beach
Located
in
Guía
de
Isora,
it
has
the
golden
sand
so
characteristic
of
the
beaches
of
southern
Tenerife.
On
this
small
beach
of
100
meters
in
length
you
can
enjoy
one
of
the
most
beautiful
sunsets,
decorated
with
La
Gomera
on
the
horizonIn
short,
it
has
a
breakwater
that
makes
this
a
calm
and
pleasant
beach
for
swimming.
In
addition,
the
beach
stands
out
for
being
next
to
the
hotel
of
the
same
name,
near
which
there
is
a
free
car
park
that
is
usually
full
in
summer
and
can
make
parking
difficult.
Finally,
to
get
to
the
sand
you
have
to
go
along
the
side
of
the
hotel
and
go
down
some
stairs
or
a
stretch
of
road
because,
although
there
is
a
funicular,
it
is
only
for
resort
guests.
3.
Diego
Hernandez
Beach
Also
known
by
the
people
of
Tenerife
as
the
hippie
beach
or
hippie
coveDiego
Hernández
beach
has
a
beauty
framed
by
its
golden
sand,
crystal-clear
waters
and
beautiful
views
of
the
island
of
La
Gomera.
This
small
cove
is
quite
quiet
and
it
is
best
to
visit
it
when
the
tide
is
low,
since
there
is
more
sand
to
put
down
your
towel,
otherwise
you
can
only
lie
on
the
rocks.
However,
as
it
is
a
wild
beach,
it
does
not
have
facilities
such
as
hammocks
or
parasols,
which
consolidates
it
as
one
of
the
best
beaches
in
the
south
of
Tenerife
and
where,
in
addition,
it
is
common
to
practice
nudism.
4.
Camison
Beach
Camisón
beach
is
in
Arona,
in
the
south
of
Tenerife.
It
is
a
great
beach
to
go
with
children
thanks
to
the
fact
that
the
breakwater
make
this
a
quiet
place
to
bathe.
There
are
many
hotels
near
the
beach,
making
it
a
popular
tourist
area.
It
also
has
wheelchair
access,
showers,
and
a
sunbed
and
parasol
rental
service.
Likewise,
its
350
meters
of
golden
sand
are
distinguished
with
Blue
Flaga
pride
for
the
beaches
of
Tenerife.
5.
La
Tejita
Beach
It
is
one
of
the
most
charming
beaches
in
the
south
of
Tenerife.
Located
in
El
Médano,
Granadilla
de
Abona,
it
is
decorated
by
the
volcanic
cone
of
Red
Mountain.
The
area,
one
kilometre
long
and
30
metres
wide,
has
been
classified
as
a
protected
natural
area
and
is
one
of
the
most
beautiful
beaches
on
the
island,
as
well
as
an
ideal
place
to
feel
completely
immersed
in
nature.
In
addition,
nudism
is
permitted
throughout
the
beach,
although
it
is
most
commonly
practised
at
one
end.
Likewise,
this
is
one
of
the
most
visited
beaches
in
Tenerife
by
those
who
want
to
do
water
sports
such
as
surfing,
bodyboarding
or
windsurfing
mainly
due
to
the
weather
conditions
of
wind
and
waves
most
of
the
year.
And
it
is
that,
in
the
coastal
town
of
El
Médano,
specifically
on
the
beach
of
El
Cabezo,
the
World
Windsurfing
Championship
of
the
Professional
Windsurfers
Association
(PWA).
6.
Fañabé
Beach
This
light
sand
beach
is
well
known
among
Canarian
residents
but
also
among
tourists.
It
is
located
in
Adeje
and
is
about
600
metres
long,
so
given
its
length
and
location,
it
usually
attracts
quite
a
lot
of
people,
making
it
one
of
the
busiest
beaches
in
southern
Tenerife.
No
one
can
resist
the
good
condition
of
its
waters
nor
to
the
atmosphere
created
in
the
terrace
areas.
Fañabé
beach
has
all
the
necessary
services
to
facilitate
the
comfort
of
its
users,
such
as
hammocks,
bathrooms
and
showers.
And
not
only
that,
it
is
also
a
beach
where
water
sports
are
practiced
in
its
waters.
7.
Torviscas
Beach
It
is
next
to
Fañabé
beach
and
has
an
extension
of
almost
300
meters.
It
is
not
usually
windy
and
there
are
not
many
waves,
so
it
is
one
of
the
best
beaches
in
southern
Tenerife
to
relax
and
enjoy
the
good
weather
canary.
There
is
parking
nearby,
although
in
summer
there
are
more
people
and
parking
can
be
difficult.
Among
its
services
are
hammock
rentals,
as
well
as
footbaths,
bathrooms
and
restaurants.
8.
Duke’s
Beach
In
Costa
Adeje
we
find
the
Duque
beach,
one
of
the
best
beaches
in
southern
Tenerife
to
enjoy
the
good
weather
and
a
swim
in
calm
waters,
also
distinguished
with
Blue
FlagIt
is
located
in
one
of
the
island’s
most
popular
tourist
areas,
so
there
are
plenty
of
places
to
eat
nearby.
This
grey
sand
beach
is
equipped
with
sun
loungers,
parasols,
parking,
changing
rooms
and
toilets.
For
all
these
reasons,
it
is
an
excellent
option
to
enjoy
a
family
day
on
its
more
than
300
metres
in
length.
Also,
if
you
like
fashion,
in
this
area
there
is
a
shopping
centre
with
a
wide
variety
of
shops
from
major
brands,
where
you
can
stroll
after
a
fantastic
day
at
the
beach.
9.
La
Pinta
Beach
Its
clear
waters
and
golden
sand
characterize
this
beach
in
Costa
Adeje,
which
is
located
next
to
one
of
the
main
marinas
on
the
island,
Port
ColonIts
dikes
give
it
a
feeling
of
seclusion
that
makes
the
beach
transmit
tranquility
and,
with
hardly
any
wavesit’s
great
for
the
little
ones.
In
short,
as
on
many
beaches
in
southern
Tenerife,
in
La
Pinta
you
can
enjoy
a
wide
range
of
water
sports.
